Programs & Services

🌿 What We Do

  • Social Connection & Belonging: Host regular gatherings, shared meals, and community events where older adults can build friendships and feel part of a supportive “village.”
  • Resource Navigation: Serve as a single point of contact (through you as Executive Director) to connect members with trusted local resources (healthcare, transportation, home services, etc.).
  • Education & Workshops: Partner with local vendors and nonprofits to provide workshops, classes, and learning opportunities that promote independence, wellness, and personal growth.
  • Compassionate Support: Offer check-ins, volunteer assistance, and a community of care for members navigating aging, health changes, or personal challenges.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Work with organizations like Council on Aging, ElderSource, and local faith groups to broaden support for members without duplicating existing services.
  • Inclusive Community: Welcome members, volunteers, and partners from all backgrounds, prioritizing respect, compassion, and dignity.

🚫 What We Don’t Do

  • We are not a medical provider: STACV does not diagnose, treat, or manage medical conditions. Instead, we connect members to qualified professionals.
  • We are not a home health agency: We don’t provide direct nursing, therapy, or caregiving services in the home.
  • We are not an emergency service: We don’t replace 911 or urgent response systems in crisis situations.
  • We are not a housing provider: We don’t build, own, or manage residential facilities, though we can connect members with housing resources.
  • We are not a government agency: We don’t administer benefits, legal services, or official programs but we help members navigate them.
